Database Administrator

Overview

Join AZAD Technology Partners as a Database Administrator and work with a team responsible for overall development, enhancement, operations and maintenance of enterprise databases. This role provides database administration support for all systems operating on the Control Center Network and supports Database Management Systems, Business Intelligence systems utilizing SQL Server Suite tools, and Application Integration.

This is a 2 years plus consultant position with a high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment. This position is hybrid with onsite 1 - 2 days weekly as needed in Vancouver, Washington.

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $62.00 - $70.00 depending on related qualifications and experience, as well as composition of selected compensation package.

The ideal candidate must possess the minimum qualifications:

- Bachelor/'s Degree in Information Technology or a directly-related technical field is preferred.
- 5 years of experience is required with an Applicable Bachelor/'s Degree in applicable fields.
- 7 years of experience is required with an Applicable Associate/'s Degree in applicable fields.
- 9 years of experience is required without a degree.
- Experience must include direct work experience in Computer/Information technology performing Database Administration.
- 4 years of experience with SQL Server or My SQL, including DBMS installation and patching, backup and recovery, monitoring, patching, performance tuning, security, mirroring/Always On/Cluster Management, reporting (SQL Server), Reporting Services, Report Builder, Business Intelligence Design Studio, Integration Services, Crystal Reports.
- Valid U.S. Driver/'s License is required.

Preferred Skills:

- SQL Server and Database Administration
- Certified Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or later and/or MySQL 5.x or equivalent DBA experience
- MySQL experience (MySQL, MySQLAdmin, MySQLDump) is a strong plus
- OLTP and OLAP data modeling
- Assist in designing and implementing changes to a complex database environment as requested
- Database consolidation strategies
- SQL Server remote management
- Windows Server administration or Software installation
- Active Directory
- Windows Server 2016 or later certification
- Uses remote management tools such as NetOp and Microsoft Remote Desktop
- Document processes and procedures using Microsoft Office tools
- Experience with GUI database management tools, including Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and SQL Profiler
