We provide a unique way to experience an expanded clinical scope of practice while enjoying an adventure at the same time Average assignment durations vary from 2 to 6 weeks.
The work you will do:
- Health Promotion, well baby / well mom programs, Immunization and community wellness programs
- Establish and promote education programs and/or campaigns (i.e. flu shot campaigns) within the community
- Work in a team atmosphere within an expanded scope of practice providing healthcare services to clients
- Utilize the skills of observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, counseling, and health teaching according to care plan
- Ensure that, on an ongoing basis, the emotional, spiritual, physical comfort and safety of clients are met to the greatest possible extent within the scope of practice

Qualifications
- You are a graduate from an accredited School of Nursing and have a nursing license through the governing body in good standing
- You are a licensed Nurse registered in good standing
- You have or are willing to obtain a nursing license through the regulating body in the province or territory you wish to work
- You meet the required work experience
- Mandatory skillsets and additional training requirements and reimbursements will be discussed during interview
Experience Required
2 years (3000 hours) or two (2) years of full-time experience as a Public Health Nurse OR (1500 hours) one (1) year of full-time experience in the past five (5) years working in remote, isolated, or semi-isolated communities as a Public Health Nurse.
Education Preferred
Bachelors or better.
