Job Summary
This job will provide essential support in preparing and conducting activities to support an environmental audit. Additionally, the role involves managing small engineering capital projects related to facility or laboratory operations. The intern will gain practical experience in environmental compliance assessment and documentation and procurement processes for equipment and services essential to facility operations.

Facility Environmental Audit Support
- Learn key aspects of “Good Manufacturing Practices” (GMP) facility operation
- Assess energy consumption across the facility
- Collaborate across departments on commissioned equipment and systems
- Identify facility and equipment improvements
- Generate a report including recommendations for improvements

Capital Projects Support
- Manage small capital project(s) as assigned
- Assist in the identification of user requirements and uses engineering knowledge to guide stakeholders in understanding of trade-offs amongst cost, schedule, function, and risk
- Develop and formalizes baseline project management plans

Education, Experience & Skills
- 3rd or 4th year student, working towards or recent completion of a university degree in Engineering, Science or Project Management.
- Technical aptitude and understanding specifications for industrial manufacturing and lab equipment
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize, coordinate, and execute projects
