**Accounting Intern**

**About Us**

As an Accounting Intern, your mission is to support our finance team with financial controls, policy creation documentation, reporting and modelling. This role will run from May 6th to August 30th with the possibility of going Part-Time after.

In this role you report to our CFO, Raheem Haji and our Controller, Carol Graham.

**What you’ll be doing**
- **Accounting/Financial Record Management**: Maintain accurate records and organized documentation. Ensure precision in calculations and entries
- **Policy Compliance and Development**:Assist in developing and documenting accounting policies and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- **Reporting and Analysis**:Provide meaningful support in generating, modelling, and analyzing reports.
- **Accounting and Daily Operations Support**:Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks and collaborate for smooth operations.
- **Controls and Collaboration**:Support financial controls improvement and implementation and collaborate with teams to identify and address control gaps.

**Requirements**:

- Currently pursuing a post secondary degree in Accounting
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles
- **Communicator**:Understands and effectively communicates well with other team members.
- **Efficiency Detector**: Can independently detect opportunities for process improvements.
- **Organization**:Organizes, schedules, and tracks in an efficient, productive manner. Focuses on key priorities. Ensuring all processes are documented and stored in the proper place
- **Methodical**: Works methodically and naturally gravitates to processes. Sees processes as freeing.
