**Residential Skilled Carpenter**

**Position**: Carpentry Assistant/Team Member

**Position**:
Full time, 40 hours a week. Occasional weekends if necessary.

**Description of Duties**:

- Site organization and clean up
- Demolition
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Proficient in the installation of, but not limited to:

- Foundation waterproofing
- Framing (all aspects)
- Installing windows and doors (including flashing)
- House wrap/weather and air barrier
- Insulation
- Vapour and interior air barrier
- Hang drywall
- Interior finishing: hanging doors, casing, crown, baseboard, T&G wall and ceiling coverings
- Wood and engineered wood flooring
- Deck railings
- Wood and engineered wood siding, horizontal and board and batten
- Cedar shakes and shingles, walls and roof
- Soffit and fascia, wood and aluminum

- Confident, task-oriented, attention to detail, sense of urgency, team player, open minded, problem solving and consistency
- Being outside in all types of weather, fitness, working with a small team, being recognized and appreciated for your contribution.

**Skills and Requirements**:

- 6 years experience in the trade
- Means of transportation (valid G license)
- Ability to follow through on a task
- Secondary School Diploma
- Strong Trade interest
- Appreciation for both the environmental impact of the trade and the preservation of old buildings
- Red Seal not required but an asset

**Compensation**:$30-34.50/hr

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- carpentry: 6 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
