We make all of our sunrooms, porch enclosures, vinyl replacement windows and exterior doors at our 150,000 sq. ft. factory in beautiful Peterborough, Ontario. We are looking for a**:Jr. Bookkeeper**

**Overview**:
This is an entry level position. What a great opportunity to get your feet wet in the wonderful world of bookkeeping or maybe you’re winding down and want to keep busy without all the hassles of a full accounting role.

**What you will be doing**:

- Reconcile large customer accounts, sales receipts and discounts.
- Reconcile monthly credit card statements.
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger by verifying and posting transactions.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in all ledger entries.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.

**Experience**:

- Post secondary degree or relevant work experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements and double-entry bookkeeping.
- Meticulous Attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of Xero and Sage is considered an asset.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.-
