**Job responsibilities**

The Junior Accountant is responsible for processing invoices, expense reports and bank and GL reconciliations.
- Reconcile general ledgers and maintain proper working paper for review and record keeping.
- Post journal entries such as accounting accrual, depreciation, prepaid expenses, etc. and maintain respective working papers.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are posted and cleared within the same period.
- Update various account schedules and workbooks
- Ensure month end, quarter end and year end deadlines are met
- Process demand run and post the transaction in the system daily
- Process Rental PAP and post the transaction in the system on a semi-monthly basis
- Update Casitron System monthly
- Back up and vacation coverage for other team members
- Other tasks, as required

**Qualifications, knowledge and experience**
- A strong sense of integrity, professionalism and a results-oriented attitude to continually improve processes and systems, enhance efficiency, and contribute to overall organizational success
- Works well under pressure to meet ongoing and overlapping deadlines within short time constraints
- Effective communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- You are detail oriented and able to identify errors
- Advanced ability to manage and prioritize a complex workload while adhering to performance goals
- High self-management capabilities
- Results driven and action oriented
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office products
- 1+ years of relevant experience
- Previous experience in financial services is an asset
- Bachelor of Commerce degree with major in accounting or equivalent
- Experience with ERP such as Sage 50 Quantum, Sage 300, Oracle NetSuite or Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is an asset
