Position: Warehouse Assistant/Delivery Driver

Location: Saskatoon, SK

Reports to: Leader of Production/Warehouse Captain

**The Role**

As a warehouse assistant, you will work as part of a dynamic and passionate team to contribute to the success of the warehouse and the various technicians in the field. Assist in effectively and efficiently maintaining the Centennial fleet of vehicles.

**Responsibilities**

Receiving of product by verify counts, product quality and job or inventory allocation

Putting received materials in proper bin locations or tagging to jobs and notification to required personnel

Process returns in the system and by removing them from the correct job, putting them in the correct bin location or placing them in a holding location pending return to vendor

Package and arrange shipments back to vendors

Assist Showroom Sales staff with client pickups

Maintain the computerized inventory control system as it pertains to the warehouse

Maintain the computerized purchasing system as it pertains to the warehouse

Assist in product and material searches for technicians

Pick/gather all materials required for jobs and stage then for pickup/delivery

Assist technicians to find the parts required for their job

Following purchase order guidelines, order parts and materials for the technicians and stock

Ensure warehouse inventory levels are maintained, and ordered maximizing freight savings and available discounts (if applicable)

Restock service bins; Air conditioner, Furnace and Renovation

Driving company vehicle to deliver parts to technicians at their jobsite, when necessary

Driving company vehicle to pick up parts from suppliers, when necessary

Driving company vehicle to return parts to suppliers, when necessary

Performing stock checks, weekly, monthly, yearly fixing causes for the errors found and performing adjustments where required

Perform general warehouse maintenance; sweeping, snow shoveling, putting metal in recycle bin, emptying garbage and recycle bins

Assisting technicians that come directly to the warehouse for parts ensuring no parts are taken without proper documentation or assistance

Maintain inventory, tools and equipment

Ensure all materials are stored properly and safely

Keep warehouse neat, clean and orderly

Maintain respectfulness and professionalism during daily warehouse operations

Order inventory for assigned vendors following purchasing procedures

Complete inventory adjustments for vendors assigned

Maintain pricing changes

Process defective parts and warranty parts submissions

Maintain inventory levels of specialty consumable type items: drop sheets, rags, sawzall blades, booties, rubber gloves, masks, cartridges for masks, tarp straps, safety glasses, safety coveralls and others.

Place parts in technician bins for them to pick up

Ensure proper inventory levels are maintained of key items for afterhours and weekend service calls

Building maintenance: assist in fixing doors, change bulbs, shovel snow, place ice melt, painting as required from time to time

Process pipe requests by cutting and threading pipe

Assist in loading trucks for deliveries

Arrange for metal, general and recycle bins emptying as required

Assist in truck/van inventory checks quarterly on all service/install technician vehicles including replenish inventory levels to pre-determined amounts

Assign tools to jobs as required and return them to inventory when job is completed and tool has been returned to the shop

Conduct inspections of tools when returned and fix tools as required

Replace tools that are worn out or defective

Conduct parts requisitions to jobs as required

Order and pick up compressed gas tanks; B-tank refills, Nitrogen tank refills and Freon tanks

Conduct parts requisitions to jobs as required

Bill products and tools to personal accounts following set policy guidelines

Ensure parts used from job boxes are assigned to proper jobs

Trouble shoot all truck requisition issues to ensure inventory accuracy

Liason with Dispatching and Project Coordinator(s) to ensure service jobs and projects are completed as efficiently and cost effectively as possible. Provide timely feedback on any jobs/projects that have part availability issues.

**Qualifications/Keys to Success**:
Work experience in parts/warehouse procurement and management

Valid class 5 driver’s license with good driving abstract
