**SUMMARY**:
We are currently looking for driven, career motivated and customer service oriented individuals to join our Customer Counter team located in Oshawa, ON.

**DUTIES**:
Reporting to the Branch Manager, this role’s focus is to generate new and repeat sales by providing customer service excellence at the counter and presenting a professional and attentive image to customers and suppliers.
- Answer pricing enquiries and stock checks. Provide technical information and product specifications.
- Enter web orders and accurately allocate it to the respective Branches for release.
- Coordinate delivery arrangements with the customer and monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed.
- Create and maintain product displays that engages customers and helps stimulate sales activity, keeping merchandise and counter areas clean and professional.
- Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications.
- Communicate promotional sale items as well as discounted slow moving and obsolete inventory.
- Grab product from the warehouse and assist customers with loading product when needed
- Proactive contact with customers to ensure ongoing satisfaction and remain current on consumer preferences, changes in local codes and product developments.
- Respond to web enquiries (prices, stock checks) within 2 hours of request.
- Act as a back up to Shipper/Receiver when needed
- Perform various branch administration; vendor returns, expedite orders, quote inquiries, etc.

**WHAT YOU OFFER**:

- 2-3 years related technical/sales experience in the Plumbing or HVAC industry, ideally within a wholesale distribution environment,
- Post-secondary education in Plumbing or HVAC, or equivalent experience an asset,
- Ability to lift 30lbs comfortably
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills,
- Positive attitude and customer service oriented with a sense of urgency, and
- Computer literate; Basic MS Outlook, Word and Excel skills.

As a leading Canadian owned plumbing, HVAC and hydronics wholesale distributor, we are comprised of 17 locations and 3 luxury showrooms and are a proud supporter and supplier to the essential Plumbing and Heating trade contractors in the Ontario market.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $52,000.00 per year

Shift:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift

**Experience**:

- plumbing and HVAC sales: 1 year (preferred)
