Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will provide essential care and assistance to individuals in need. This role requires a strong sense of empathy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

**Duties**:

- Provide personal care and support to individuals in their homes or residential facilities
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when required
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clients
- Monitor and report any changes in the client's condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Provide support to individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses or hospice care providers, to ensure comprehensive care for clients

**Skills**:

- Previous experience in home care or caregiving is preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration and basic healthcare procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individuals in need
- Ability to adapt to different environments and work well within a team setting
- Familiarity with dementia care practices is a plus
- Experience working in nursing homes or hospice care settings is an asset

Note: All positions must be paid, including internship positions.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Licence (preferred)
