Reporting to the Hardware Manager, the Hardware Clerk is responsible for delivering world-class customer service by providing prompt responses to customer inquiries, providing customer service at the checkout, and operating the cash register. Other duties include pricing, stocking, and facing products on shelves, answering telephones, practicing good housekeeping habits, and loading products for customers.
- High School diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Experience working in Agro and Farming settings is an asset
- Physically able to lift more than 55 lbs. on a regular basis
- Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to adapt to new technology
- High level of integrity and work ethic
- Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
- High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environment
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
