Our school is looking for passionate, energetic and skilled individuals who enjoy working with children and making a positive impact on their lives. We are seeking an amazing Indigenous Educator to join our team to share knowledge and provide cultural activities to children. Teachers are responsible for creating lesson plans, conducting classroom activities and maintaining high standards of care. Qualifications:
Early Childhood license to practice in BC

4-5 year experience is a minimum requirement

First-Aid

Criminal Record Check

**Responsibilities**:

- Set up daily activities in the classroom based on children's interest
- Guide groups of children on a journey of knowledge, developing them into well-rounded individuals.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the student's needs and capabilities.
- Provide developmentally appropriate curriculum.
- Positive guidance techniques
- Provide snacks and lunches
- Daily communications with families
- Daily house keeping duties
- Safe and ongoing supervision of children inside and outside the classrooms
- Documenting children's learning by creating documentation panels within a month of children's engagement.
- Creating relationships with children and responding to children's ques
- Yearly parent-teacher conferences
- Rotational shift
- The Educator will go to various classrooms once per month to teach children about indigenous culture through hands on activities.
- The Educator will have a home base classroom where they will work daily.
- Preparing morning and afternoon snack in accordance with the monthly menu.
- Washing and sanitizing daily furniture and materials that belong to the center.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $21.00-$24.50 per hour
