**Royal Columbian Hospital and the surrounding Health Service Area are looking for a Geriatrician to join our team in beautiful British Columbia**

New Westminster is ranked the most livable city in the lower mainland. New Westminster is considered a family-friendly small community with many young families and a busy port with a stunning New Westminster Quay walking trail and River Market. Royal Columbian Hospital is a large tertiary care hospital with a redevelopment in progress to expand even more services.

Fraser Health is one of Canada’s fastest growing health authorities, serving over one third of the population in British Columbia. The Department of Geriatrics in Fraser Health is a diverse group of geriatricians and care of the elderly physicians serving a large region. Our hospitals are affiliated with the University of British Columbia and offer opportunities for clinical practice, as well as teaching and academic research.

**Qualifications**:

- Eligibility for or active FRCPC Geriatric Medicine
- Eligibility for or active full license to practice in BC
- Strong collaborative interpersonal and inter-disciplinary skills

**Availability**: April 2024

Royal Columbian Hospital is large regional 490-bed hospital offering primary, secondary, and tertiary services, including tertirary trauma, interventional cardiology, and neurosurgery. as well as 24/7 emergency services with approximately 84,000 visits annually. It is currently undergoing a redevelopment with expansion expectations.

**Full/Part Time/Locum/Temporary**: Part Time Permanent (0.5 FTE)

**Compensation**:Through a Ministry of Health Alternate Payment Plan Service Contract
