Mechanical R&d Intern

Do you want to save the world (or at least the wildlife in it) while developing your technical skills in a small but passionate R&D team? Margo Supplies is hiring a mechanical R&D technician intern to design and test new products as well as improve existing lines.
Your technical skills will help us develop cutting-edge products such as satellite tracking collars or machine learning detection systems.

This is a hybrid position with 4 office days in our Manchester office, and 1 day from home. We are a short walk from the 39th Avenue C-Train station.
**What Will You Do?**
**Required Qualifications and Skills**:
- 2 year technical diploma as a mechanical engineering technologist or 3 years into a bachelor's of engineering with a mechanical specialization.
- Experience in CAD design and 3D printing.
- Experience in 3 axis industrial CNC milling is an asset.
- Coursework or experience in material testing, quality control, and commercialization.
- Demonstrate a passion for engineering technology.
- Thrive in a small team setting.
- Applicants who have a history of personal technology projects or related hobbies are preferred.
- Must demonstrate ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
Margo Supplies is a worldwide leader in wildlife management technology. We design, manufacture, and distribute environmentally technology that solves human-wildlife conflict. Our admin, sales, and R&D office is located just an 8 minute walk from a c-train station and has free parking. Our warehouse is located in High River, AB, a 20-minute drive away from South Calgary. We also operate two warehouse facilities in Las Vegas and Utah.
Established in 1980, we provide solutions to some of the most challenging wildlife conservation problems. If it involves wildlife and technology, we are there. Airports, government agencies, farmers, and industrial groups rely on us to conserve wildlife and prevent damage to people and property.
We may wear t-shirts to work but we take our business seriously. Our company is in a new growth push in smart technology and international expansion. We have led the industry for the last 40 years but we don't rest on our laurels. We have a strong wildlife conservation mandate, are the recognized leaders in bear conflict prevention, and have developed many of the benchmarked standard wildlife conflict prevention tools used across the globe.
