The Information Systems Branch (ISB) provides effective, efficient, collaborative and quality information management and information technology (IM/IT) advice and services to the justice and public safety sector and government enterprises.

The Manager, IM/IT Service Desk, is responsible for planning ongoing business and technology needs consistent with government and ministry strategic plans, system standards and interfacing requirements as they pertain to the IM/IT hardware, software and telecommunications services. This role leads the effective delivery and continuous improvement of the technology related service desk and service coordination functions and processes.

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in the computer science field, business or another IT-related discipline plus five (5) years of recent (within the past seven (7) years) *related experience; OR, Diploma in the computer science field, business or another IT-related discipline, and seven (7) years of recent (within the last 10 years) *related experience; OR, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Recent (within the last three (3) years) experience leading teams or supervising staff.
- Related experience includes a combination of:

- Experience managing projects, developing action plans, and leading project teams in technical projects in a large enterprise environment.
- Experience assessing customer requirements, developing and implementing technical and business solutions.
- Experience coordinating resolution of technical and business problems while managing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Experience providing business analysis on high risk projects, including management of financial and human resources.
- Experience with managing, developing and implementing improvements in a team or work unit that provides hands-on technical support of large scale and custom-built technology-dependant systems.
- Experience with translating strategic plans and business transformation initiatives into concrete changes to technology-dependent systems, and implementing changes into an operational environment.
- Experience in leading, mentoring and supervising staff and implementing succession planning strategies.
- Experience with building relationships and maintaining effective communication with customers, suppliers and vendors.

Preference may be given to applicants with:

- Certification in project management and/or business analysis.
