Tree Tops Daycare believes every child deserves a chance to explore the world around them and enjoy the natural curiosities the world has to offer. We strive to empower children by supporting and guiding their decisions by giving them opportunities to problem solve, demonstrate leadership, and collaborate with each other. These fundamental skills allow a child to feel secure and strengthen their confidence and identity. Our job is to support these young innovators.

Our interactive based method of teaching actively supports the children’s learning throughout the day. Educators are responsible for providing a variety of planned/spontaneous activities that encompass all areas of learning. It is our responsibility to guide them to success and awaken their passion.

With our extended outdoor time and location we are allowing the children to immerse themselves in the wonders of nature.
We encourage the children to explore by: jumping in mud puddles, digging for worms and challenging their thinking. Our educators will be encouraged to go outside more often to help spark their interest and further their development.

**Requirements**:

- ECE certificate or equivalence
- First Aid Training: CPR and AED level C
- Must be 19 or older
- Criminal record/vulnerable sector check and social development check
- Organized
- Own means of transportation
- Responsible and reliable
- Commitments to child’s learning and well being
- Ensure quality care to all children

**Duties**:

- Educators are responsible for the supervision and safety of the children at all times.
- Educators are responsible for providing the children with a variety of developmentally appropriate activities throughout the day. o Activities need to scaffold their learning based on the NB Curriculum Framework. o Plans and activities should be altered to include every child.
- Educators who have their ECE are expected to utilize their training in all aspects of the curriculum and their routine
- Models’ appropriate behavior and practices positive child guidance
- Ensures that confidentiality is always maintained
- Understands and complies with: New Brunswick Childcare Facilities Standards, Family Service Act, Child Abuse and Neglect Protocol Practices
- Understands and complies with New Brunswick Curriculum Frame work and the Tree Tops Daycare philosophy.
- Participates in professional development to provide quality care
- Maintains a positive and friendly working environment
- Maintains positive and friendly relationships with staff, families and the children
- Supports and practices inclusion o Able to modify the classroom/planning to support the needs of each child and diverse students
- Ability to document the children’s learning
- Ensures all documentation are completed correctly and adhere to record keeping as outlined by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.
- Desire to take pride in ones work and environment

**Salary**: $14.90-$23.47 per hour
