Hours Normal Working Hours are 35 hours per week; including varied shift times: days, afternoons, evenings and weekends.

Other General office environment; some travel throughout the City of Kawartha Lakes may be necessary in accordance with job requirements.

- Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals; and to identify and resolve systems issues.
- Gather and analyze data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. Report findings, probable causes and identify possible solutions to systems issues.
- Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed system acquisitions or enhancements to aid management in making approval and funding decisions.
- Prepare presentations for and attend Information Technology Steering Committee meetings.
- Resolve issues through consultation, issue control, change control, and escalate issues to appropriate decision makers where required.
- Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support.
- Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.
- Assist with the implementation of effective and efficient Information Technology operations by participating in the development and maintenance of Information Technology strategies, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies, and documentation.
- Work beyond regular business hours may be required to meet deadlines
- Occasional travel to various work locations is required to fulfill the duties of the position.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

**Skills/Education Required**
- Completion of post-secondary education in Computer Science, Business/Accounting or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working as Business Analyst
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), ITIL, COBIT and PMP designations preferred
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products
- Familiarity with Vadim iCity, CityWide, Cityworks, SharePoint, Gimmal, Perfect Mind is desired.
- Proficient in the use of Project Management software
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Excellent understanding of the organization’s core services, goals and objectives
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Logical and efficient with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required
- Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
- Highly self-motivated and directed with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Upon a conditional offer of employment, a Criminal Record Check will be required
