This posting is to fill 1 full-time seasonal auxiliary position to assist in the summer asset inspections every year.

The Transportation Planning Branch applies a systematic approach to the planning and management of our assets. We streamline and improve systems to allow the Transportation Division to deliver programs more efficiently and effectively. We pride ourselves on our innovative and solution-focused culture and approach. The Transportation Asset Management Unit is a group of professionals tasked with understanding our transportation network’s assets and identifying what resources and activities are required in order to support the network and ensure it keeps the territory moving. **Essential Qualifications (what we’re looking for in your resume)**:

- Experience in highway infrastructure asset inspections, surveying, and/or design and construction.
- Knowledge of engineering principles associated with transportation infrastructure and design (e.g. highway signage, surfaces, vegetation, culverts, and rest areas);
- Ability to use tools e.g (iPAD, Microsoft Office etc.);
- Knowledge in field assessments, including recording and reporting of field conditions;
- Knowledge of specialized computer systems including dTIMS, and ESRI Collector; Formstack;
- Ability to coordinate and manage team schedules, work collaboratively in a team environment, and work independently;
- Ability to analyze and interpret data in order to summarize and report on asset inventory and condition assessments on an ongoing basis;
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills;
- Ability to establish strong and effective working relationships with peers, and other Divisional stakeholders.

**Conditions of Employment**

Must possess and maintain a valid Yukon Class 5 driver’s licence.

**Job Requirements**

Travel and mandatory use of personal protective equipment.
