**Position Summary**:
The Manager, Human Rights and Conflict Support (HRCS) is a new role in a new division reporting directly to the Executive Director, of Equity Diversity and Inclusion (EDI). The incumbent will develop, lead, and manage Loyalist College’s Human Rights and Conflict Support service, aligned with Loyalist policies, the Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC), Occupational Health and Safety Act, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, and other relevant laws and policies.

The manager is the main point of contact for all concerns that relate to OHRC protected grounds. The incumbent leads the development and implementation of restorative justice approaches, and resolution for informal complaints. The manager also tracks and reports all human rights-related cases, and coaches and supports other departments, managers and leaders on human rights and related conflict support.

The manager is expected to advise with an anti-oppressive, anti-racist, anti-ableist, and trauma-aware practice. The incumbent must possess sensitivity to all aspects of human rights including (but not limited to) creed/religion, race, gender identity/gender expression, sex, family status, disability as well as comprehensive experience in offering guidance and advice on competing grounds.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**_Lead and Manage Loyalist Human Rights and Conflict Support Services_**
- Be the primary point of contact for human rights conflict support that is trauma aware, anti-oppressive, and anti-racist for the Loyalist College community including staff, faculty, students, and visitors.
- Review, advise, and implement existing human right-related policies and procedures and draft new policies and procedures in support of Loyalist values and strategic EDI goals.
- Lead, collaborate, and resolve informal complaints using alternative dispute resolution and/or restorative justice approaches.
- Manage caseloads with internal or external supports as necessary to ensure organization, timeliness, and procedural fairness.
- Continually assess, monitor, and support human rights related needs of the Loyalist community including those at all Loyalist College locations.
- Implement and supervise programs, campaigns, and projects to promote a culture of awareness and respect for human rights at Loyalist.
- Cultivate trust in relationship with all facets of the college community by demonstrating care for confidentiality and neutral and impartial implementation of procedure.
