**Reports to**:Head Chef**:
**PRIMARY OBJECTIVES**:
**Working closely with the Head Chef and kitchen staff, the Cook will ensure that all food is prepared with the highest standards, the kitchen is clean and organized, and inventory is maintained.**:

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Together with the Head Chef and kitchen staff, carrying out food preparation for various forms of meal service
- Prepping and cooking according to a daily schedule
- Packaging food for catering to various Mackie’s Place sites
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, including storage spaces, fridges, and freezers
- Ensuring proper storage of all food and kitchen supplies
- Utilization of all Mackie’s Place administrative systems, including Google Drive, project planners, Google Calendar, etc. in order to access daily schedules and meal plans
- **_Because this position involves sharing a workspace with at-risk youth in the Mackie’s Place Culinary Skills program, it is crucial that behaviour and conversations in the kitchen are respectable and of the highest integrity._**

**QUALIFICATIONS THAT ASSIST IN THIS POSITION**:

- Food Safe certification
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification
- Provincial Criminal Record Check for Children and Vulnerable Adults (mandatory upon hiring)
