**Onsite Safety Advisor / First Aid Attendant**

**Position Summary**

The length of the contract is tentatively 6 months with the possibility of extension, depending on construction progress. The position will be full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm, with a minimum of 2 Saturday shifts per month with a weekday off in lieu. Flexibility and overtime will be required.
- Provide first aid as per WorkSafe BC legislation at the worksite
- Ensure first aid is available and kits in stock, as well as fire extinguishers readily available and in working condition
- Supervision of all workers both Eagle and sub-trades daily to correct unsafe acts and ensure safety conscience attitudes and work
- Complete daily site inspections, review hazard assessments, and maintain updated onsite safety paperwork
- Conduct toolbox meetings to increase awareness of specific safety hazards
- Investigation and follow-up of all incidents, first aid recorders, and near-misses
- Complete site-specific and sub-trade orientations
- Assist onsite site supervisor with administrative tasks as needed
- Maintain effective communication with onsite workers, site supervisor, safety manager, and other field safety advisors
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures

**Requirements**:

- **OFA Level 2 First Aid**
- Valid Class 5 license, acceptable abstract, and reliable transportation
- Available to work Monday - Friday, occasional Saturday
- Minimum 44 hours per week, must be flexible and willing to work overtime
- Must be local to the Surrey area
- Expected to supply their own mobile device (Laptop will be provided)
- Proficient in both verbal and written English communication
- Ability to maintain effective work relationships
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
