The Lube Technician is responsible for diligently maintaining, repairing and servicing customer vehicles to ensure both customer safety and satisfaction while contributing to overall departmental success. A key priority for a technician is to instill brand loyalty and ensure a positive customer service experience.

The Lube Technician has excellent communication skills and is able to listen and discern as well as execute all requirements in the Lube Service process. The technician can focus on the big-picture without missing any of the details and delivers results. They continually strive to become an expert in their field so that the service provided is above customer expectations.

A Lube Technician upholds the dealerships’ standards and values so that the customer is fully satisfied through every interaction with the service department. As a team player, the Lube Technician fosters positive relationships with personnel in all areas of the dealership.

**Role & Responsibilities**
- Identify any observed malfunctions and inform the Service Advisor of required repair
- Explain procedures and repairs directly to the Service Advisor if beyond the scope of a standard lube assignment.
- Review and analyse actions regularly to determine how to better utilize time and plan more effectively.
- Encourage compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Notifying the Service Advisor when vehicle maintenance or servicing cannot be completed within scheduled timeframes.
- Lubricating wheel bearings to prevent excessive tire wear.
- Performing engine cleanings to prevent rust formation.
- Replacing cabin, fuel, air, and oil filters as required.
- Performing tire rotations to ensure even tire wear.
- Testing tire pressure and adding air as needed.
- Thoroughly inspecting customers’ vehicles for oil leaks.
- Making recommendations for additional servicing based on initial vehicle inspection
- Other duties as required

Wages will be determined based on qualifications and applicable experience.
