**Cambridge - Re-Pack (General Labour)**

We are offering a fast paced, career elevating opportunity at our new highly automated state-of-the-art baking facility in Cambridge, Ontario. The expectation for every employee of this unique and flexible facility is to work cooperatively as part of the team to produce safe, high quality food products, efficiently and effectively.

As an integral team member, you will be required to help out as needed to accomplish this goal, regardless of the position, consistent with Dare values.

This is a unionized position with a starting rate of **$20.03** per hour.

**Afternoon shift**

**-**4:00 pm to 12:00 am
- Monday to Friday

**Key Responsibilities**
- Check for damages, quality check.
- Repack items into shippers, displays, or repalletize - follow a Spec sheet for accuracy.
- Communicate with Warehouse Associates.
- Work in a fast
- paced team environment.
- Escalates all non-routine conflicts and problems to the Supervisor.
- Identifies opportunities for improvements to processes, safety, and productivity in the department.
- Physical exertion to perform manual labour tasks such as hand loading product onto tables, packing, wrapping pallets.
- Operating pump truck, baler and walkie/stacker.
- Other Duties as assigned.

**Essential Skills and Qualifications**
- Strong technical skills and an analytical approach to problem-solving.
- A history of meeting and exceeding challenging performance goals; a desire to “win.”
- Ability to perform tasks effectively both individually and as a member of a team.
- 1-3 years relevant working experience in a food environment as well as previous forklift/counter balance certification(s)will be considered assets.
- Knowledge of the principles of Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing would be considered an asset.
- Strong communication skills.

- Secondary School (preferred)

- food industry: 1 year (preferred)
