Are you an accountable, hardworking individual with proven experience in metal fabrication, looking for interesting projects in a collaborative work environment in the West end of Mississauga around Highway 403 & Dundas Street?

We are currently looking for an **Architectural Metal Fabricator** to add to our dedicated team of fabricators and installers of architectural metal and glass products.

Our **Architectural Metal Fabricator** works with the project team to fuse a variety of metals into unique custom architectural items. All our work is fabricated in our production facility. We take pride in consistently delivering at or beyond our client’s expectations and aim for only the highest level of craftmanship. Our creations are in various materials including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, bronze and other materials as required. Our **Architectural Metal Fabricator **are dependable, proactive and above all else detailed-orientated. Ideally, they have 5 years experience.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours a week. Our hours of operation are Monday-Thursday, 7am
- 4pm, Friday 7am
- 1pm _(Working Friday until 4pm may be required depending on workflow). _We offer a generous benefits package that includes health, dental and life insurance and free on-site parking.

**Responsibilities**:

- Working cleanly and with precision on various materials such as stainless steel, mild steel, aluminum, and brass (with strong emphasis on stainless steel)
- Prepare materials, including but not limited to, cutting, drilling, machining, grinding, cleaning, finishing, etc., for welding and fabrication
- Working with various material gauges and thickness from 24 gauge and thicker
- Review and understand all shop drawings and sketches submitted by our Design Department for shop fabrication
- Prepare materials, including but not limited to, cleaning, cutting, grinding, drilling etc., for welding and fabrication
- Prepare layouts and welding jigs as required for each project
- Perform welding tasks such as; TIG mostly, some MIG and occasional silver soldering.
- Acquire full understanding and knowledge of mechanical hardware, fastening devices, adhesives and material finishing
- Ensure work area is organized and tidy for efficient completion of work
- Work independently and as a team member both in and out of the shop
- Obtain all necessary information from project leader or office staff to effectively fabricate projects
- Participate in project meetings with Estimators, Project Managers, Shop Managers, and Designers as required
- Attend shop meetings as required
- Attend project site meetings when required
- Understand installation drawing packages (existing condition, approval, and part drawings) to execute projects seamlessly
- Prepare for installations by ensuring all necessary information has been provided by the project manager, or shop manager
- Collaborate with the Shop Supervisor periodically to help finalize any installation details, without compromise to goo design and aesthetics
- Travel to job sites
- Some overnight travel may be required
- Operate installation equipment such as power tools, chain falls, genie lifts, etc.
- Ensure professionalism and the utmost care is taken by the installation team when working on-site often around finished floors and walls in upscale homes and condominiums
- Careful use of ladders and or staging is required
- Collaborate with other trades on-site
- Effectively document any project related change information and relay it back to Project Manager
- Maintain an awareness of the daily manufacturing process of the related projects
- Become familiar with equipment, personnel, restrictions, processes and procedures (including health and safety) common to Reale Born Inc facility and philosophy
- As required, take a lead role position on your shop fabrication
- Perform other duties as assigned by the shop supervisor

**Skill Requirements**:

- Minimum 5 years metal fabrication experience
- Welding experience is preferred
- Versed in various types of metalworking tools and techniques
- Flexibility to adapt to different projects & jobsites
- Understand safe working practices on jobsite
- OSHA course certifications are a plus
- Valid Driver's License, clean driving record
- Able to work at heights and use lanyards and tie off equipment
- Ability to read architectural drawings
- Physical ability to handle heavy loads, bending, crouching and kneeling
- Post Secondary school, welding school or trade college
- Efficient in both metric and imperial measurement
- Blueprint reading
- In addition to working with metal, experience working with glass, wood, plastics and other construction materials is expected

- Welding mask, gloves and other related safety gear must be worn
