Reporting to the Feet Manager, the **HEAVY DUTY TECHNITIAN **plays a crucial role in inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty equipment and commercial vehicles. This position requires strong mechanical knowledge, a commitment to quality work, and adherence to safety standards.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Inspect, diagnose, and repair construction equipment including Gravel Trucks, Trailers, Excavators, Loaders, Graders, and Dozers.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and identify potential failures to prevent equipment downtime.
- Interpret and complete work orders efficiently.
- Utilize diagrams and manufacturers’ repair manuals to perform repairs accurately.
- Update and maintain service records and complete warranty information.
- Adhere to all Health and Safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace by completing daily housekeeping tasks.

**Skills Needed**:

- Enrolled in the 3rd or 4th year of a Heavy Equipment Technician Apprentice Program or a full Road Journeyman.
- Red Seal certification is an asset but not required.
- Must have personal toolbox and tools.
- Physically fit and capable of handling heavy equipment repairs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable using computers and related software.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (Class 1 or 3 is a plus).
- Reliable transportation and a clean driver’s abstract.
- Ability to pass mandatory drug and medical screening.
