We are looking for people that fit our team dynamic. That is someone who works well in a team environment, a self-starter that will take the initiative to do the work without being told, someone that understands what is expected when arriving at a private club.

Meadowbrook is looking for a full time line cook, who will be responsible for:

- Ensure consistent food preparation and the highest caliber of food presentation, following the club standards and as directed by the Executive Chef.
- Ensure the highest level of hygiene and food safety is adhered to by all personnel in the preparation and handling of food items.
- Ensure that the kitchen area and equipment is maintained at the highest level of cleanliness at all times.
- Ensure all food products are stored in appropriate containers, labeled and rotated to ensure high standards of freshness, minimizing waste and maximizing quality.
- Respond in a positive and timely manner to all internal and external guest requests and complaints, while meeting the restaurant’s standards to exceed the guest’s expectations in addition to remaining budget conscious.
- Perform other related ad-hoc duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Familiar with industry’s best practices
- Must be friendly, a team player, high-energy, detail oriented, and focused on exceptional service
- Well groomed, mannerly and co-operative
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good organizational skills, ability to prioritize and carry out many tasks simultaneously.
- Punctual and reliable
- Must be able to work flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Whitchurch-Stouffville, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
