**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Service Writer to join our team. As a Service Writer, you will be the primary point of contact for customers seeking maintenance, repairs, or upgrades for the RVs. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, coordinating automotive repairs, and ensuring customer satisfaction. **Job purpose**
The Service Writer serves as the liaison between Bluenose RV Centre customers and our parts and service departments. This includes performing general office duties as well as receiving and processing requests for service. The role is critical to ensuring customers receive timely and effective service for their RVs.
**Duties and responsibilities**
Provide excellent customer service by listening carefully to customer concerns and relaying such concerns to our parts and service departments;
Clarify RV vehicle performance problems and service requests;
Provide cost estimates to address service requests, including costs of materials, supplies and labour;
Verify warranty coverage as well as check maintenance records and examine servicing schedules;
Coordinate service appointments, including writing repair orders;
Collaborate with service technicians to facilitate the timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks;
Create bills and invoices as well as process payments;
Respond to customer complaints and work to resolve issues in a professional and tactful manner;
Maintain customer rapport and accurate records, including customer profiles and repair history; and,
Conduct all responsibilities in a manner that does not create a health and safety hazard to themselves or others.
**Qualifications**
High school completion and a minimum of two years related experience
Detail oriented with an ability to multi-task and work under time pressures
Customer-focused mindset and proven dedication to client satisfaction
Basic understanding of RV parts and services to facilitate communication with customers and technicians
One year of RV experience preferred, but not required
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
A valid Nova Scotia Driver’s License is essential

Superior interpersonal and relationship management skills
Excellent organizational/sequencing skills
High level of initiative
Ability to problem solve in sometimes challenging situations
Good ability to analyze information and relay it to others
