Position: Payroll & Benefits Financial Analyst

Location: 974 Lakeshore Road East, Mississauga

Report to: Chief Financial Officer

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:

- **Payroll**:_
- Complete weekly payroll cycle processing and ensure that payroll is processed timely and accurately.
- Calculate and process pay adjustments, salary changes, retroactive pay and other payroll related payments.
- Accurately process status changes, terminations, new hires, banking information, etc.
- Create bank files for direct deposits.
- Prepare ROEs and respond to all government related inquiries.
- Process manual cheques for all request missed shifts by manually calculating the statutory deductions, pensions, and other deductions required.
- Manage up-to-date pay rate and salary increases, probation list, seniority list, and vacation accruals.
- Perform monthly reports for reconciliations of payroll accounts, including but not limited to employee withholdings, benefit, Pension, WSIB, EHT etc.
- Manage and complete the vacation and sick entitlement rollover.
- Complete year-end activities and balancing such as T4 and other related documents.
- Effectively communicate with directors, managers, supervisors and employees regarding payroll inquires in a prompt and professional manner.
- Ensure compliance through detailed knowledge of company policies and payroll legislation.
- Develop best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy of payroll processes.
- Communicate to staff and benefits companies for inquiries.
- Assist with vacation tracking and reporting for payroll.
- **Accounting and Reporting**:_
- Prepare FTE reports for HO
- Develop KPI’s for Direct Labour and Salary Reporting
- Vacation tracking and reporting for payroll.
- Cash collection Accounts Receivable analysis and reporting
- Monthly bank reconciliations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Align with CFO for Bi-monthly Accounts Payable runs for processing of cash payments and receipts for accounts payable
- Support CFO in budget management, forecast, monthly financial reviews, and tool/report development.
- Develop and maintenance financial models for Budgeting and Forecasting

**Qualifications**:

- Research accounting issues and draft accounting memo’s that provide a recommendation based on IFRS standards.
- HST preparation and filing.
- Complete Variance analysis and commentary for monthly reporting deck.
- Assist CFO with variance analysis for the Monthly reporting deck
- Degree or diploma in Accounting, Human Resources or Business Administration or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of direct experience in the full cycle payroll.
- 3-5 years of experience in accounts payables and receivables.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Excel and Word.
- Completing PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) Designation, or equivalent certification is a great asset.
- Experience with QuickBooks is desired.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and positive attitude toward teamwork.
- Ability and maturity to deal effectively with all levels of management and staff within the company, regarding matters of a confidential nature.
- Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task a variety of request within required deadlines.
- Detail oriented Ability to work independently, take initiative and use good judgment.
- Have the ability to identify and solve problems in a structured and analytical way.
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
