To meet the growing demand for our product we’re currently seeking an **_Accounting Assistant_**. Reporting to the CFO you will oversee accounting accuracy for the company.

**In This Role You Will**:

- Maintaining records and general ledger accounts
- Preparing journal entries, analysis, and accounts reconciliations
- Assisting with monthly close processes
- Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage day-to-day accounts payables and receivables
- Responsible for daily cash flow including bank reconciliations and payments
- Credit card and prepaid expense reconciliations
- Prepare monthly and quarterly banking requirements
- Preparing quarterly IFTA filing
- Overseeing GST/PST reporting
- Tracking intercompany transactions
- Assist in preparation of requested reports
- Identify opportunities for improvement in internal controls and processes and address them

**We’re Looking For**:

- Thorough understanding of provincial and federal tax laws
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to work independently
- Obtained and/or working towards a professional accounting designation
- Deep knowledge towards technology and automation in processes
- An understanding of manufacturing
