Underwriting Auditor

About The Role

Anderson McTague & Associates is looking for a strong and experienced Underwriting Auditor for a 1 year contract in our Saint John’s, NB office. This role will ensure Anderson McTague achieves binder rate targets and compliance with binder underwriting guidelines. This role will work closely with the President.

What You’ll Do

Underwriter Authority checks

Review and update the Anderson McTague Underwriting manual

Develop “Peer Review” procedure and process to be implemented by Anderson McTague

Review all policy wording with the and update any that may be outdated

Perform the duties of an internal underwriting auditor which would involve reviewing by random selection both new business & renewal accounts

Be available as a “resource” in assisting our commercial underwriting team to access and underwrite both new business and renewal accounts

What You’ll Need for Success

Post-Secondary Education or equivalent training and experience

Minimum 10 years of Underwriting audit and compliance experience

CIP/FCIP, RPLU and/or CRM Designation or in progress

MGA experience desired

Ability to exercise sound judgment in risk selection

Strong decision-making skills and ability to bring creativity to underwriting risks

A strong work ethic, good organizational skills and the ability to work within a team environment.

Strong communication skills written and verbal including presentations

Strong time management skills, goal oriented, and self-directed

**Proficient in MS Office**: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Experience with TAM or Policy Works broker management systems
