Production Co-ordinator

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Supervise Production Team: Lead and manage a team of production workers to ensure production goals are met while maintaining high-quality standards and safety protocols.
2. Production Planning and Scheduling: Coordinate production schedules and prioritize tasks to meet customer demand and production targets. Monitor production metrics and adjust workflow as needed to optimize efficiency.
3. Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure products meet quality specifications and regulatory requirements. Conduct inspections and address any quality issues promptly.
4. Equipment Maintenance: Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition. Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
5. Training and Development: Train new employees on production processes, safety procedures, and quality standards. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to support employee development and performance improvement.
6. Inventory Management: Monitor raw material and finished goods inventory levels to ensure adequate supply for production activities. Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize waste.
7. Safety Compliance: Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations. Conduct safety inspections, investigate incidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent accidents and injuries.
8. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction. Implement lean manufacturing principles and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
9. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate production records, including production reports, work orders, and inventory logs. Prepare and present production performance reports to management as needed.
10. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as quality assurance, engineering, and logistics, to coordinate production activities and resolve cross-functional issues.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and production techniques.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office and manufacturing software systems.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and quality management systems is preferred.
**Physical Requirements**:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the production floor for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends as needed.
