Calgary, Canada Beltline Neighbourhoods Association Full time

The Beltline Neighbourhoods Association (BNA) is a community association that advocates for the interests of residents in Calgary’s Beltline. We are led by a diverse leadership team and Board of Directors. We have cooperatively run High Park with Calgary Parking and Public City Architecture since 2018. High Park is an award winning rooftop public park and event space in the Beltline serving as an exciting destination for residents and visitors to the city alike.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support planning and delivery of events programming at High Park
- Serve as an on site representative for High Park and the BNA
- Help contribute to a welcoming and inclusive public environment up at High Park
- Create and/or initiate ideas for engaging social media content highlighting High Park, various High Park events, and other BNA activations
- Conduct weekly maintenance checks and make minor repairs on site if needed
- Support F&E Manager with organizing and scheduling volunteer team
- Lead gardening maintenance with support from volunteers
- Solicit and advise external groups planning their own activations at High Park
- Respond to online inquiries about High Park

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIES
- Passion for urban activations and placemaking
- Friendly and outgoing presence in the community
- Strong communication skills and sense of accountability
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Collaboration-oriented, team player
- Ability to adapt to constructive feedback
- Ability to ask for help if needed
- Personal transportation is an asset
- Residing in the inner city and/or the Beltline is an asset

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
