We are a family owned and operated metal recycling facility committed to sustainable and environmentally responsible practices. Our facility processes various types of metal scrap to be recycled and reused in the manufacturing industry. We are currently seeking a skilled Forklift and Skid Steer Operator to join our team.
**Job Description**:
As a Forklift and Skid Steer Operator, you will play a crucial role in our daily operations by efficiently and safely operating forklifts and skid steers to move, load, and unload metal scrap materials within the facility. You will work closely with the production team to ensure a smooth flow of materials, contributing to the overall success of our recycling processes.
**Responsibilities**:
- Operate forklifts and skid steers to move, load, and unload metal scrap materials.
- Transport materials to designated areas within the facility.
- Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations while operating machinery.
- Collaborate with the production team to optimize workflow and meet production targets.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery, such as cleaning, greasing, and refueling.
- Keep accurate records of materials moved and tasks performed.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift and skid steer operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts and skid steers in an industrial or warehouse environment.
- Solid understanding of safety protocols and ability to adhere to them strictly.
- Physical fitness to withstand the demands of the job, including lifting heavy loads and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Basic computer skills for recording and reporting purposes.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

How to Apply:
