Recreation Worker

**Position: Recreation Worker**

**Term: Permanent Full-Time**

**Department: Community Centre**

**Salary: $18.00/hour**

**Hours: 35 hours/week, 8:30a.m. - 4:30p.m., Monday - Friday, flexible to work evenings and weekends**

**Posting Date: February 14, 2023**

**Closing Date: February 27, 2023 at 4:30p.m.**

**JOB SUMMARY**:
Under the direct supervision of the Recreation Supervisor and/or designate, the Recreation Worker will be responsible for implementing recreation programming, guidance and direction for the program participants.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
1. Ontario Secondary School diploma **or **GED;
2. Post-secondary diploma, ongoing **or **complete in Recreation and Leisure **or** related field of study; **OR**

3. Minimum two (2) years employment experience in a similar capacity;
4. Workshop **and/or** facilitation experience, experience working with children and youth in leadership capacity, community development experience; **an asset.**
