**Job Summary**
- Responsible for administering, directing, and supervising production activities pertaining to the assigned shift.
**Main Responsibilities**
- Directs and supervises Team Members to ensure correct, accurate and timely completion of production and delivery schedules.
- Institutes and maintains safe work practices and capability of directing plant emergencies.
- Oversees the training and development of Team Members in both the sociological and technological aspects of their responsibilities.
- Ensures strict compliance with Quality Control standards and promotes the Company’s reputation and image as a “Quality Producer”.
- Communicates and counsels Team Members to maintain a high level of understanding.
- Responsible for providing recognition and positive reinforcement for all Team Members, in a manner to further develop each member of the team.
- Investigate and resolve problems among Team Members assigned to the area (interpersonal, conflict, performance, etc.)
- Work with materials, quality and operations team to reconcile inventory, receiving, delivery, presentation and/or quality discrepancies.
- Supervises in such a way as to promote and maintain a high level of trust and integrity with production employees.
- Analyzes production to determine where improvements may be made which will contribute to the plant’s profitability.
- Work closely with the materials team to create and adjust the production schedule when required
- React accordingly to sudden changes in production requirements and adjust the manpower to meet these changes as required
- Coordinate all shift activities in accordance with the company’s plant rules and the Collective Agreement
- Effectively communicate with the appropriate functional teams to resolve production issues and shortages.
- Other duties as required
**Work Experience**
- Three to five years of experience in a production environment with evidence of increased responsibility a plus.
**Requirement**
**Education/Major**
- High School Education or equivalent with some college preferred.
