**A day in the life of a Capital One Process Manager**
A day in the life of a Process Manager is a dynamic and energetic one. The morning starts with a team huddle to review process performance, analyze trends and identify any deviations from the established thresholds. This is followed by collaboration with cross-functional teams to root cause and generate innovative solutions to bring back performance. As the Principal Process Manager, you will bring your solid expertise in driving continuous improvements in both process and culture in a structured way to make impactful change in quality, speed, efficiency and growth.
You’ll work with tools like SQL to query data, use spreadsheets and python-based notebooks to organize it, and slides to present it, along with a number of other modern analytics tools. Working in an agile, cross-functional team you’ll also have the opportunity to learn from other job families like product managers, software engineers and risk managers across the organization..

**Responsibilities**:
- Build the framework and controls to facilitate early detection and mitigation of key risks in production release cycles. This is achieved by focusing on the following:
- Identify and align to enterprise requirements
- Define and standardize responsibilities and accountabilities of stakeholders
- Collaborate with software delivery teams to define and improve the process to manage production releases
- Develop critical to quality metrics, structures and processes to monitor and manage the performance
- Collaborating with software and product communities to define, design and manage Canada software hierarchy and critical business processes
- Drive improvements in software development processes
- Collaborate with development teams to identify automation opportunities
- Provide mentorship to junior members of the process team and the software development community
