Architectural Technician

**Role**
To create functional, clear, accurate and well-designed construction documents that properly communicate the required information to all key stake holders using Revit/AutoCAD. Preparation of design documents and specifications for industrial, commercial, institutional and residential buildings. Generate 3D renderings, site plans, elevations, sections, details, floor plans etc as required by the project. Learn and grow as an individual in the field and use leading edge technology to create a better life for others.

**Responsibilities**
- Visit job site to compile measurements and design details as necessary.
- Create detailed drawings with Revit/AutoCAD software.
- Provide 3D renderings and virtual walkthrough when required by client.
- Ensure final designs are code-compliant and adhere to construct-ability principles.
- Ensuring builder compliance with design specifications and advising on design corrections under Design Manager’s supervision.
- Assure that work complies with the accuracy level and time constraints required for the project.
- Regularly report progress to Design Manager on project status.
- Follow multiple projects at a time from prelim design through construction.
- Review shop drawings
- Generate material and standards libraries.

**Qualifications**
- Architectural Technology Diploma or Degree
- 5 years experience preferred using Revit software through project lifecycle including presentation renderings to issued for construction plans.
- 5 years experience preferred producing architectural drawings
- Valid Driver’s License

**Skills**
- Familiarity with 3D modeling tools such as Enscape/Lumion
- Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team including but not limited to mechanical, structural and electrical professionals.
- Strong organizational skills, technical competence, and attention to detail.
- Strong structural design understanding and knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as data sheets, shop drawings and specifications to match intent of the project.
- Excellent time-management and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam considered an asset.
- National Building Code knowledge

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Steinbach, MB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
