Steelcon Fabrication Inc. and Group of Companies is expanding, and we are searching for a Health, Safety, and Environment Manager to join our Sin Structures Inc. team

**Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager** will oversee facility health, safety, and environment in all three St. Catharines, Ontario, SIN Structures Divisions. The HSE Manager will support Operations Team by providing leadership, direction, and support for manufacturing HSE excellence.
**As the Health, Safety & Environment** **Manager**, you will contribute to our team by**:

- Providing executive direction of all program strategy, compliance, and efficiency, across the operations of the three SIN Structures Divisions.
- Ensuring HSE program and subsequent policies are efficiently communicated and understood at all levels, and properly implemented, and adhered to.
- Annual Auditing of HSE program and policies to maintain regulatory compliance and current business standards information by conducting annual reviews.
- Promoting, implementing, and maintaining WSIB Excellence Program initiatives.
- Timely submission of WSIB Excellence Program elements following the Plan-Do-Check-Act Cycle.
- Ensuring HSE competency training requirements for team by verifying the training is adequate for the job/tasks individuals perform for SIN Structures and that is has been completed.
- Creating and implementing strategic business plans to attain the HSE Department goals and objectives.
- Being involved in the response to and resolution of any significant incidents.
- Ensuring Incident investigations are completed in a timely fashion with sufficient detail.
- Ensuring preventative measures and corrective actions are established and achieved.
- Provide guidance and coaching to the Management Team to ensure quality HSE Management.
- Oversee and enforce compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Act Regulations pertaining to organizations operations.
- Looking for opportunities to mitigate/minimize risk and financial exposure for claims.
- Overseeing WSIB claims management with Human Resources Team.
- All other duties as required.

**What you will bring to this role**:

- Postsecondary diploma/degree in OH&S or a related discipline.
- CRSP, CSO or NCSO, certification preferred (CDN).
- 5+ years’ experience in related industry, with direct experience in HSE.
- Strong management and leadership abilities
- Strong knowledge of industrial processes, execution, and terminology.
- Expert knowledge of OHS Act and regulations and applicable standards and codes.
- Conflict resolution, with the ability to manage and effectively resolve conflict with clients/government and influence others towards resolution in high-pressure situations.
- Strong communication and presentation skills on HSE topics to management, clients, or other stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and internal operational systems, with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
