**Job Description**:
Laboratory Services is a comprehensive program that provides 2.2 million tests per annum in support of all RVH clinical programs and clinical trials. RVH Laboratory Services is an Accredited services as recognized by Institute for Quality Management in Healthcare (IQMH) and have received and maintained ISO15189 Accreditation Plus designation.
- Completion of high school diploma or recognized equivalent required
- Medical Laboratory Assistant/Technician Certification from Ontario Society of Medical
- Technology (OSMT) required
- Minimum one (1) year recent laboratory experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology essential
- General knowledge of all areas of the laboratory preferred
- Working knowledge of OLA requirements preferred
- Previous data entry/computer experience essential
- Meditech and LIS knowledge and experience an asset Phlebotomy collection experience with patients in a variety of health care conditions essential
- Membership and participation in other relevant professional organizations an asset
