As our Shipping & Receiving Lead, you'll play an essential role in overseeing daily operations, promoting teamwork, and driving efficiency. You will assist our Warehouse Supervisor in leading a cohesive and collaborative team of shippers and receivers. Together, you will ensure smooth logistics, maintain strong vendor relationships, implement best practices for material availability, and strive for on-time deliveries. By collaborating with production teams, project managers, and external partners, you'll optimize workflows, foster open communication, and strengthen interdepartmental connections to achieve our goals.

**Location**:Innisfail, Alberta

**Schedule**:Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist our Warehouse Supervisor in leading the Shipping & Receiving department, ensuring safety standards and efficient workflows.
- Partnering in setting daily priorities, delegating tasks, and overseeing timely completion of shipping and receiving activities.
- Train and mentor staff on policies, procedures, and safety practices.
- Collaborate with purchases, project management, data entry, and production teams to schedule shipments and ensure timely deliveries of material.
- Monitor communications with shipping companies and clients, coordinating shipping dates and logistics.
- Verify accurate receipt of materials against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies with other departments.
- Conduct inventory checks, maintain organized storage, and oversee safe load-outs, ensuring correct items are shipped and paperwork is processed accurately.
- Provide effective coverage for Warehouse Supervisor, as required.

**Qualifications/Requirements**:

- 5-7 years of warehouse experience, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a leadership role.
- Background in metal manufacturing or a related environment is a plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (M2M experience is a plus).
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage priorities, and ensure attention to detail.
- Flexibility for shifts, holidays, and weekends as needed.
