**Organization Overview**:
NorWest Community Health Centres (NorWest CHC) is a community based, non-profit organization funded by Ontario Health. As part of a network of provincial community health centres, our focus is on providing access to primary health care and prevention programs and services.

**Position Summary**:
As a key member of the Community Health Centre team, the Communications Lead will work closely with the CEO and leadership team to implement the organization's communications strategy. This role involves supporting internal and external communication activities that align with the organizational vision, mission, and values. The Communications Lead will standardize communications materials, integrate and centralize communication efforts, customize messaging for specialized audiences, and promote NorWest CHC.

**Responsibilities**:

- Implement the organization's communications strategy in collaboration with the CEO and leadership team.
- Support internal and external communication activities.
- Develop and maintain the organization's website using WordPress.
- Utilize social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook) and video creation for marketing and communications purposes.
- Develop press releases, videos, and professional publications (e.g., annual reports).
- Ensure high-quality interpersonal, verbal, and written communication.
- Manage time effectively, multitask, and meet tight deadlines.
- Build collaborative internal relationships and foster an environment of innovation.
- Resolve conflicts effectively.
- Experience in media relations, including drafting and distributing media releases.
- Manage online campaigns, newsletters, and distribution lists.
- Demonstrate awareness of and sensitivity to health issues, particularly among marginalized populations.
- Graphic design experience is an asset.
- Fluency in French or an additional language is an asset.
- Possess a valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle, and the ability to travel to other sites.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., communications, marketing, business).
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a communications role, or 5 years related experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of communications in large, interdisciplinary, multi-program organizations.
