The Child Safety Intake and Resources Team is a dedicated group of child and family service workers committed to the well-being of children and families in the Port Alberni and West Coast area. With fewer than ten team members, each brings valuable experience and a collaborative spirit, working closely with other service areas like Family Services, Youth Justice, Child & Youth Mental Health, and Child & Youth with Support Needs. Together, we respond to child welfare reports and provide vital support to foster families and contracted resources. Our work makes a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and youth, ensuring they receive the guidance and services they need. The Team Leader, Integrated Services provides direction, leadership, and support to staff, guiding them on interpreting Acts, regulations, standards, and procedures. **1. Preferred Credentials**:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Social Work or in Child & Youth Care **OR** Master's Degree in Educational Counselling Psychology/Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology with completion of a practicum in family and child welfare **OR**:
- In-service Ministry of Children and Family Development employees who have a regular full working level SPO 24-30 base position that requires delegation under the Child, Family and Community Services Act (CFCSA) **OR**:
- **NOTE**: If this education was obtained outside of Canada, you need to confirm it has been assessed for equivalency through the International Credential Evaluation Services (ICES). You must provide a comprehensive report and the MCFD supplemental report by the closing date of this posting to be considered.
- At least 2 years of job-specific work experience.
- Experience supervising staff.
**2. Expanded Credentials**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services field **OR** Bachelor’s Degree with a Major/Honors in a Human Services field **OR** Master’s level graduate Certificate/Diploma in a Human Services field** AFTER** the completion of an unrelated Bachelor’s Degree.
- **NOTE**: If this education was obtained outside of Canada, you need to confirm it has been assessed for equivalency through the International Credential Evaluation Services (ICES). You must provide a basic report by the closing date of this posting to be considered.
- Minimum 1 year of related work experience and at least 2 years of job-specific work experience **OR** At least 3 years of job-specific work experience.
- Experience supervising staff.
**Human Services fields include**: Psychology, Sociology, Criminology, Anthropology, Early Childhood Education, Indigenous Studies, Education, Theology or Nursing.
**Preference may be given to applicants with the following**:
- Preferred education credentials **AND/OR** in-service Ministry of Children and Family Development employees who hold a regular full working level SPO 24-30 base position that requires delegation under the Child, Family and Community Services Act (CFCSA).
- Eligible for delegation under the Child, Family and Community Services Act (CFCSA).
- Currently hold full delegation (C6) under the Child, Family and Community Services Act (CFCSA).

**About this Position**:
