The Child Safety Intake and Resources Team is a dedicated group of child and family service workers committed to the well-being of children and families in the Port Alberni and West Coast area. With fewer than ten team members, each brings valuable experience and a collaborative spirit, working closely with other service areas like Family Services, Youth Justice, Child & Youth Mental Health, and Child & Youth with Support Needs. Together, we respond to child welfare reports and provide vital support to foster families and contracted resources. Our work makes a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and youth, ensuring they receive the guidance and services they need. **The Role**
The Team Leader, Integrated Services provides direction, leadership, and support to staff, guiding them on interpreting Acts, regulations, standards, and procedures. You will plan, implement, and manage a collaborative approach to ministry programs and services, ensuring compliance with legislation, regulations, and policies. **1. Preferred Credentials**:

- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Social Work or in Child & Youth Care **OR** Master's Degree in Educational Counselling Psychology/Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology with completion of a practicum in family and child welfare **OR**:

- In-service Ministry of Children and Family Development employees who have a regular full working level SPO 24-30 base position that requires delegation under the Child, Family and Community Services Act (CFCSA) **OR**:

- **NOTE**: If this education was obtained outside of Canada, you need to confirm it has been assessed for equivalency through the International Credential Evaluation Services (ICES). You must provide a comprehensive report and the MCFD supplemental report by the closing date of this posting to be considered.
- At least 2 years of job-specific work experience.
- Experience supervising staff.

**2. Expanded Credentials**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services field **OR** Bachelor’s Degree with a Major/Honors in a Human Services field **OR** Master’s level graduate Certificate/Diploma in a Human Services field** AFTER** the completion of an unrelated Bachelor’s Degree.
- **NOTE**: If this education was obtained outside of Canada, you need to confirm it has been assessed for equivalency through the International Credential Evaluation Services (ICES). You must provide a basic report by the closing date of this posting to be considered.
- Minimum 1 year of related work experience and at least 2 years of job-specific work experience **OR** At least 3 years of job-specific work experience.
- Experience supervising staff.

**Human Services fields include**: Psychology, Sociology, Criminology, Anthropology, Early Childhood Education, Indigenous Studies, Education, Theology or Nursing.

**Preference may be given to applicants with the following**:

- Preferred education credentials **AND/OR** in-service Ministry of Children and Family Development employees who hold a regular full working level SPO 24-30 base position that requires delegation under the Child, Family and Community Services Act (CFCSA).
- Eligible for delegation under the Child, Family and Community Services Act (CFCSA).
- Currently hold full delegation (C6) under the Child, Family and Community Services Act (CFCSA).
