Security Guard

**Responsibilities**:

- A Busy, High Traffic Site, Downtown Toronto
- Duties and responsibilities mentioned below are but are not limited to:
Incident Report Writing - Writing detailed and accurate reports which may be used in court legally
- Foot Patrols - Conducting interior and exterior patrols of the property ensuring the safety and security of the property. Reporting any trespassers, damages, or potential hazards on the property.
- Shift Logs - Maintaining accurate shift logs with the correct time reported matching the work which
was conducted. Maintaining these logs throughout the entire shift.
- CCTV Cameras - Monitoring, extracting footage and reviewing footage upon request
- Critical Thinking - Thinking on the spot and making decisions while using all available resources while doing so to ensure a satisfactory outcome.
- Notifying Emergency Personnel - When required call emergency personnel depending on the situation at hand (Firefighters, Ambulance, or Police).
- Active listening - Being alert while on duty. Always ensure that you are aware and present. Make sure you are paying attention to details.
- Contractor escorting - Escorting contractors while on duty and ensuring specific instructions are followed to ensure maximum client satisfaction.
- Fire Alarm - Responding to fire alarm situations as per site training.
- Leak/flood - Responding to leaks and floods according to the site-specific standing orders/instructions.
- Trespassers - Must ensure action is taken towards trespassers. Approaching if it is safe to do so otherwise notifying the authorities and Royal Concierge and Security’s senior management.
- Break and Enter - Notifying the police and following site-specific instructions/training.
- Parcels - Logging in and out parcels, maintaining neatness and organization. Correctly labeling parcels for residents according to site-specific procedures.
- Some duties and responsibilities may not be outlined above. This means that security staff may be asked to conduct additional or alternative duties according to the site’s requirements complying with the ministry of labor.

Pay: $16.55 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekends only

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Work Location: In person
