**Seasonal Snowmaker**
- The Snowmaker is responsible for working as part of a team to open and maintain skiing terrain with the best possible snow that can be created. The Snowmaker must have a valid Ontario driver’s license._
- **RESPONSBILITIES (not limited to)**:_
- _**Ensure you remain alert and focused at all times while performing tasks - your safety and the safety of your other team members may depend upon your actions.**_
- _Interact and converse with members, guests and other employees in a friendly, courteous and co-operative manner. Maintain a positive and helpful attitude towards, members, guests and other employees._
- _Be available to work 12-hour shifts on weekdays, weekends and holidays - day/night shifts. At times due to changing weather conditions, this will be _**on-call work**_ _and as such, the Club requires contact telephone numbers._
- _Be able to work in and withstand cold, adverse and changing weather conditions - dress appropriately for the task and changing weather._
- _Operate various high-pressure air and water equipment in a safe, cautious and responsible manner, as per training and Club procedures/practices._
- _Responsible for producing high quality snow through the use of air/water equipment. Must remain alert to changing weather conditions, e.g. temperature and wind or other weather._
- _Attach hoses from snow equipment to nozzles of aboveground outlets for underground compressed air and water pipelines._
- _Turn outlet valves to adjust compressed air and water mixture to obtain desired snow spray. Set and re-set snow guns (ground and tower guns)._
- _Reposition on-hill equipment periodically to direct snowfall to other sections of trail, or close valves to shut off equipment when snow coverage is completed._
- _Return defective or frozen snow equipment to shop for repair or thawing, using snowmobile. Tag out/lockout as required._
- _Clean dirt and frozen snow from equipment._
- _Responsible for completing daily circle check logs when operating Club equipment, i.e. snowmobiles, utility vehicles, etc._
- _Perform other maintenance duties as required._
- _Responsible for completing various snowmaking systems logs accurately, neatly and in the prescribed manner._
- _Work closely with and assist other departments such as Grooming, Ski Patrol, and Lift Operations._
- _Always be aware of the safety of members, guests, snowmaking team members and other employees._
- _Other duties and responsibilities as determined by the Operations Manager/ Snowmaking Lead Hand._
- **QUALIFICATIONS**_
- _Ski resort experience would be an asset._
- _Ability to work in various/changing weather conditions._
- _Perform all tasks safely in accordance with the health and safety policies._
- _Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills._
- _Must have a valid Class G driver’s license in good standing_
- _Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs._
- _Must be physically fit and be able to perform in physically demanding activities e.g., snow shoveling, hand tools, netting_
- _Ability to operate a snowmobile would be an asset_
- _Flexible, adaptable and able to execute a range of job duties and changing priorities._
- _Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills._
- _Possess professional maturity and impeccable integrity._
**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
**Salary**: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
