**Purchasing Coordinator**

**The Company**

**The Opportunity**

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this is an excellent opportunity for the supply chain professional who is passionate about leadership, technology, and working with a team driven to provide industry

**Responsibilities**
- Plan and track the shipment of parts and equipment according to customer requirements.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and services to meet production schedules
- Manage the return of goods that are incorrect or defective back to the vendor.
- Negotiate prices for raw material and delivery of supplies and services.
- Evaluate vendor performance and make recommendations for improvements
- Analyze current inventories and procedures; suggest improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company.
- Identify optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to consolidation of warehousing and distribution.
- Coordinate and dispatch inbound, outbound and interbranch shipments.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities to streamline process and improve accuracy and efficiency with operations.

**The Person**
- Post-secondary education such as a College or University Degree; completion of Continuing

Education programs such as PMAC or APICS would be preferred or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of related experience in a supply chain role with leadership experience.
- Proficient knowledge of ERP systems or relevant software.
- Proven history of meeting and exceeding targets.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.
- Experience purchasing raw materials (steel) an asset.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes.
- Ability to create and update detailed records and spreadsheets.

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:
