**Job Summary**:
The Fathers’ Support and Resource Worker assists fathers in mentoring and empowering them to meet their day-to-day needs by providing support, problem solving, life skills training and opportunities to enhance and/or develop new parenting skills. This is primarily done through facilitating various group sessions with fathers. Individual support is based on referrals and brief conversations with the clients. The position will involve facilitating evening sessions for the Dad Chat, Anger Awareness, Men in Relationships, In Control, and Conflict Resolution. The Fathers’ Support and Resource Worker will also be promoting the program within the community and creating and maintaining relationships with participants and agency and community partners.

**Your Role**:
Archway’s Fathers’ Support and Resource Worker with the Abby Dads Program contributes by:

- Facilitating group sessions including Anger Awareness, Men in Relationships, In Control, Conflict Resolution, and CALM Parenting classes.
- Providing online and/or in-person facilitation sessions.
- Assessing clients and identifying high risk individuals so they can access appropriate resources to ensure their safety.
- Participating in community engagement activities regarding Abby Dads program promotion.
- Documenting sessions, referrals and client interactions using the CAMS client tracking system.
- Documenting and providing statistics that are collected by the supervisor in reporting to funders.
- Providing resource referrals to participants.
- Providing individual support to clients.
- Interacting with related Archway and community programs.
- Communicating with the supervisor and fellow staff on a regular basis.

**Getting an Interview-you will be considered if you have**:

- A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Social Work, Child and Youth Care, Education, or a related field, OR an acceptable combination of education and/or experience.
- Experience facilitating groups.
- Experience working with families or at-risk community members is an asset.
- Experience providing conflict resolution to clients is an asset.
- Experience working with clients in crisis is an asset.

**The Job Requires you to have**:

- Well developed written, verbal, and active listening skills; able to communicate effectively and respectfully with people from a variety of backgrounds.
- Ability to work as a part of a team that includes staff and volunteers.
- Ability to work outside regular business hours, including evenings.
- Ability to interact with people in difficult situations (e.g., experiencing stressful family dynamics or crisis situations).
- Well developed time management and organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to meet with people in person, requiring adherence to health and safety protocols.
- Emergency First Aid and CPR Level C is a condition of employment.
- A Satisfactory Criminal Records Check is a condition of employment.
