YOU MUST BE LIVING IN CANADA AND HAVE VALID WORK PERMIT
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests, offering recommendations and guidance on wine selection
- Assist guests in understanding the different types of wines, their characteristics, and food pairings
- Maintain and update the wine list, ensuring accuracy and availability of wines
- Conduct wine tastings and educational sessions for guests and staff members
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to create wine pairing menus for special events or promotions
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for wines, ensuring an adequate supply at all times
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales

- Previous experience as a sommelier or in a similar role preferred
- Strong knowledge of different types of wines, regions, vintages, and varietals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and team members
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service and create a positive dining experience
- Knowledge of food pairings and ability to make recommendations based on guest preferences
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and ability to accurately process transactions
- Basic understanding of food service, meal preparation, bartending, food handling, and cashiering
