about the team

Sourcing Operations reports into the Global Sourcing team and is part of lululemon’s Supply Chain organization. This team takes the lead in creating, delivering and sustaining tools, processes and programs to support the Global Sourcing team and our product vendor base.

The Sourcing Operations team cuts across strategy and operations to ensure lululemon has a robust vendor base to meet growing demands across geographies, product categories and new ventures. Three key areas of focus are: Global Sourcing Operations support with planning, tracking and delivery of strategic initiatives and implementation of new tools and processes; Vendor Operations, including management of the new vendor approval process (NVAP), ongoing vendor updates, documentation, and support with vendor-facing initiatives; and Vendor Engagement & Communications, including design and delivery of various engagement and impact programs, central communications and storytelling, and vendor meetings and events.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Sourcing Operations, the Sourcing Operations Lead is primarily responsible for planning, tracking, leading, and supporting implementation of Global Sourcing strategic initiatives and process improvements. This role is perfect for a highly organized, natural problem solver with strong attention to detail, great communication skills, and who thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Lead the planning, tracking, and implementation of Global Sourcing key strategic initiatives, including creation of plans, documentation of requirements, facilitation of workshops, and execution of change management and sustainment efforts.

Identify opportunities for incremental process improvements and lead the planning, implementation and adoption of new and transformative Global Sourcing processes and tools, including documentation of current-state processes, and support in design, implementation and operationalizing of new processes and tools.

Create and roll out training and documentation to support change management efforts within the Global Sourcing organization.
*

Lead cross-functional meetings with representation from all levels of the organization.
*

Prepare presentations, dashboards, status updates, and progress reports for key internal and external stakeholders and to support operations committees, steering committees, strategy meetings, and business reviews.

In partnership with business stakeholders, drive strategic and operational efforts to improve the way we work internally and with external partners (e.g. vendors).
*

Support with delivery of communication to product vendors on initiatives, process updates, go-to-market key dates, news and announcements, people updates, etc., as required.

Support with planning and delivery of Global Sourcing and vendor-facing events, such as All Teams, Development Days, Vendor Summit, and Raw Material Summit, as required.

qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in project management, operations or other related field, preferably in a vertical apparel retail environment.
- Comfortable with general project management principles; PMP Certification an asset.
- Experience in process design and improvement.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including PowerPoint and Excel. Experience with Smartsheet is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to independently build strategies, establish implementation plans and drive effective and timely execution.
- Superior analytical skills, with emphasis on identifying and sourcing required facts.
- Ability to think critically, separate key information from extraneous data and quickly assimilate complex information.
