Overview:
As part of the Finance/Billing team, the **Courier Analyst** is responsible for maintaining rate charts for Courier costs, providing courier quotes to customers, analyzing and preparing data files by customer for all courier services used. This individual will also develop and propose improvements on set-up procedures.

**A 3-month contract position with a flexible hybrid work arrangement. This role allows you to work from home while also spending 1-2 days per week in our office.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with IT, Operations and Finance departments
- Prepare rate customer courier charts.
- Monitor annual increases of courier rates and update the customer courier rates schedules accordingly
- Prepare proposals for customer rates
- Upload data courier files to the accounting system or in house developed portals
- Reconcile courier invoices to identify which customers have used the services
- Prepare detailed excel files per customer, per courier, per accounting period based on specific customer agreements and forward within the finance team for billing
- Identify any operational issues in connection with shipping and receiving of courier services and address them with the operational team
- Reconcile margin sheets per courier per accounting period
- Respond to customers enquiries regarding detailed information provided and address any questions directly to the courier or internally.
- Investigate ad hoc courier bills
- Verify company cost to the rates provided by couriers
- Dispute incorrect courier invoices
- Any other ad-hoc analysis and duties as required
- Propose improvements on set-up procedures

Qualifications:

- College Education
- 1-2 years of previous work experience with large excel files and analysis
- Advanced excel knowledge
- Ability to build excel templates with formulas and macros
- Strong analytical thinking
- Advanced Organizational skills
- Extremely detail-oriented
- Strong MS Office
- Aptitude to learn
- Ability to work independently, solve issues and be a strong system-oriented person
