- Located at the urban core of the beautiful North Shore with convenient access to major regional and global centres, Lonsdale Energy Corporation (LEC) continues to expand and develop a District Energy System that currently services over 100 buildings. Through the City of North Vancouver, LEC has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Site Supervisor - District Energy Civil Construction. This position will primarily provide onsite supervision of the construction of LEC’s District energy network including network extensions and building connections. Projects will typically run for 2 - 10 weeks with project budgets under $1M.**Responsibilities**
- Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for skilled site supervisory work, coordinating, directing, and participating in the work of contracted crews engaged in district energy civil construction. You will coordinate external contractors and agencies, providing leadership and direction to ensure performance standards, specifications and procedures are met. During construction you may be required to perform specialized tasks related to district energy pipe installation. You will also conduct operations and maintenance tasks from time to time as required.You will be required to help prepare cost estimates, monitor budgets, and participate in the development of work schedules and long-range planning. In addition, you will establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external contacts, prepare and maintain records/reports, and order materials/equipment.**Requirements**:

- You will have completed Grade 12 and have lead hand or supervisory experience, along with knowledge of the methods, practices, procedures and materials, tools and equipment used in utilities construction, maintenance, and operations, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Any direct experience with district energy would be considered an asset. You have excellent leadership, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, along with a demonstrated ability to work in a team setting and have proficiency with Microsoft Office. Practical working knowledge of procurement practices and asset management principles in government organizations would be advantageous. A diploma or trades qualification in a related field and/or a Level 2 or higher certification within the Environmental Operators Certification Program (EOCP) or equivalent operational qualifications, would be significant assets. A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License is required.**Compensation**
- Through the City of North Vancouver, LEC offers an attractive remuneration package for this exempt position, including a compressed work schedule and a 35-hour work week. The salary range is $76,296 - $98,220 annually (2023 rates).**Hours of Work**
